Photo for reference. Vintage may differ from the bottle shipped.
Meritage is the New World name for a Bordeaux-style blend, and this one names all four grapes on the label — Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Inspire sits near the top of Teperberg's range.
Mood: Layered, dark, composed.
Our sommelier says
Four grapes means four jobs: structure, flesh, colour and lift. Give it an hour open and they knit together.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant, plum and cedar with a violet edge. Full and layered across the palate with fine, firm tannin. A long finish of dark fruit and sweet spice.
Food pairing
Prime rib, lamb and slow-braised meat. A bottle for the head of a Yom Tov table.
