Rollover To Zoom
Peregrinus is La Cignozza's IGT super-Tuscan-style Sangiovese — outside the DOCG rulebook, so the family can chase depth and modern polish. 100% Sangiovese, longer maceration, more concentrated than the Chianti bottlings.
Mood: Polished, modern, bigger.
Tasting notes
Black cherry, ripe plum, mocha, dried herbs, a wisp of cedar. Concentrated and modern — full-bodied, plush mid-palate, fine-grained tannins. Polished, long, with dark cherry and spice carrying through.
Food pairing
Grilled ribeye, wild mushroom risotto, lamb shoulder, hard aged Italian cheeses, slow-cooked short ribs.
