Rollover To Zoom
Recanati Special Reserve Red is the winery's flagship: 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot, matured 18 months in new French oak. Recanati was founded in 2000 in the Hefer Valley and has since become one of Israel's most respected quality-value producers - the Special Reserve represents the peak of a great vintage.
Mood: Opulent, structured, ageable.
Tasting Notes
Captivating aromas of black fruit, sage, chocolate, eucalyptus, and clove lift out of the glass. The palate is opulent and full-bodied, layered with ripe berries, warm spice, and lush velvety tannins from the new French oak. The finish is long and structured, closing on cedar and dark cocoa.
Food Pairing
A wine to open for Yom Tov, a Shabbos with meaningful company, or a milestone meal. Pairs with prime rib, braised short ribs, rack of lamb, and a serious brisket.
