Rollover To Zoom
Outryder is Wyoming Whiskey's bottled-in-bond blend of two mashbills — a high-rye bourbon and a straight rye — the distillery's first work with rye grain. It sits in its own lane in American whiskey: not quite bourbon, not quite rye, and better for it.
Mood: Frontier, layered, bonded.
Sommelier’s note
“A whiskey that refuses to pick a lane — bonded weight, rye spice up top, bourbon caramel underneath.”
Tasting notes
Baked apple, caramel and a thread of leather, with rye spice lifting behind. Full and creamy — brown sugar and vanilla up front, moderate rye spice through the middle, a whisper of oak. Long and warm, the spice fading into bourbon-like sweetness.
Pairing
Sip neat to feel the bonded weight, or stir into a Manhattan that wants extra spine. Pairs with smoked brisket or aged hard cheese.
