Rollover To Zoom
Lagavulin Offerman Edition is the 11-year Islay peated single malt selected by actor Nick Offerman and matured partly in charred red-wine casks. Note: wine-cask maturation places this bottle outside the KLBD kosher scotch list. Listed here for collectors and gift shoppers.
Mood: Smoky. Coastal. Collector.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts intense peat smoke, salted seaweed, and a dark note of dried red fruit from the wine cask. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with campfire smoke, brine, and a rich cherry and dark-berry lift from the charred oak red wine cask. The finish is long and coastal, with a lingering peat note and a subtle sweetness that keeps the last sip complex.
Food pairing
Serve neat with dark chocolate, cigars, and grilled meats.
